Description

The Open Championship, or the British Open, is the oldest golf tournament in the world, and one of the Big Four Major events.  Founded in 1860, originally held annually at Prestwick Golf Club, it now rotates between select coastal golf courses in Scotland and England, under the authority of the Royal & Ancient Golf Association.
The 1958 Open was held at Royal Lytham, and was won by Peter Thompson.  Mr. Thompson also won the Open in 1954, 1955, 1956, and 1965!  This lot of items of the famous Mr. Thompson includes:
1.  Signed Scorecard of Royal Lytham
2.  Photo of Mr. Thompson, holding the Open Trophy
3.  Small Sheet signed by Mr. Thompson, showing his Open Victories
