Description

Antique M Z Austria hand-painted and signed sugar bowl decorated with blue violets. 5" from handle to handle, 4" widest diameter x 5" tall. Likely between 1884-1917. This bowl has art nouveau handles accented in gold. The lid and top are painted
a
sky blue that layers downwards to white and
pastel
yellow at the bottom. Both sides feature sprays of blue violets with green leaves backed by pink flower buds. The bottom has the crown logo with "M.Z. Austria" and, in cranberry red, the signature D Kirchner. Lovely, lovely piece. More violets!
