    Description

Antique Porzellanfabrik Victoria Schmidt Porcelain Jar Victoria Carlsbad Austria.
This gorgeous lidded biscuit jar was made between 1891 and 1918 and displays the Victoria Carlsbad Austria mark on its base.
It measures 5.75 inches tall without the lid and 7.5 inches tall lidded.  The jar opening is roughly 4.75 inches with a base of 3.75 inches.  It is 6.5 inches at its widest point.  This piece has a lovely pure white glossy porcelain background with light green with  gold gilded intricate pattern accent surrounding the top of the jar and the bottom of the lid. The lid also has a porcelain molded handle on top in a matching green color.  The jar is decorated with purple bloomed vine flowers; a large display one side with a smaller display that matches the lid on the other side. The porcelain also contains raised panels which adds visually to the piece.
This antique jar has no chips, cracks, or repairs.  There is also no crazing. The only flaw I see is wear to the gold gilding on the lid and top rim of the jar.  Considering that this piece is between 103 to 130 years old, I'd consider this piece to be in excellent condition.
This biscuit jar will be carefully and well packed and shipped out promptly upon payment.
