This is a
pretty  elegant  vase
.  It has a nice  shape and
is decorated with lovely   figurative portrait
Made by Josef Strnact - judging by the backstamp it was made pre-1918.

This vase measures approximately
13 inches tall and about 6.5 inches at the thickest point.
Description
:
This beautiful early Amphora style   vase  is hand painted in a pretty design over a  cobalt  blue  finish.
The   vase itself features  figures and  attractive ornate  handles with Rococo design.
The artist chose for the front, beautiful figures as the main design.
Two youthful women  with ethereal expressions are in  center  of vase.
The  cobalt blue color and the  stylized handles are lovely .
Condition:
The vase does have 3 very small chips.  Two of these are around the rim one in front and one in the back as pictured.  There is one small chip on the edge of the base (shown in picture). But these small imperfections are hardly noticeable.

Founded by
Josef Strnact junior
in 1881 the terracotta, majolica and faience factory in the former Austrian town of Turn-Teplitz was an instant success because of its wide product range. It included faience and majolica vases, garden pieces like flowerpots and pillars, umbrella stands, tobacco jars, mantel clock casings.
Strnact
opened a subsidiary in Geisingen in the year 1902 which was named 'Terracotta-, Majolica- und Fayencefabrik Strnact Junior'. To cope with the rising demand,
Strnact
purchased the ceramic factory of
Anton Heller
in Turn-Teplitz in 1909 and up to 1910 his factories there alone employed over 300 people.
This  Amphora style vase   beautifully painted and gilded with a decoration  is very rich and elegant . The v

elements outlined in gold  pronounced relief would make a handsome one for your collection.
