GIL ELVGREN “Series Two Pin-Ups” 8 of 12 prints original mailer Plus Extra print

7 1/2 x 9 1/4”" booklet w/back cover designed as a self-mailer cover envelope. This is #2 in a series. Contains 8 of the 12  art prints  7 Elvgren prints are “Double Exposure,” “Palette-Able,” “Help Wanted!,” “Is My Face Red!” [not signed, but by him], “Man’s Best Friend,” “Doctor’s Orders,” and Figures Don’t Lie.” And an Art Frahm print titled “Three Point Landing.”  Included also is a single smaller (6 x 4 3/4”) unsigned print by Rolf Armstrong published by Brown & Bigelow of a woman with 2 Scotties.  I don’t think that was originally included in the portfolio but it came to me with it included so here it is.
Originally, the prints were bound in and it notes that they would tear out “with a nice clean edge for Pin-Up for framing.”  These have been cleanly torn out. The published was Louis F. Dow Co., St.Paul.  These are termed “Faithful Reproductions of Original Paintings.”  Apparently the original owner removed 4 for framing or some such.
Folder and prints are in remarkable condition.  Envelope (which they suggest be sent to ARMY MEN) is not filled in.  There is a tear in the left margin of “Double Exposure” otherwise all fine.
I will be away at Brimfield and will not be able to ship before Saturday July 17.
