Beautiful sculpture, wall mask in enameled ceramic and entirely hand-decorated, depicting Eve with the apple, made by the Austrian artist and ceramist Rudolf Knorlein for the famous Viennese Goldscheider manufacture. Published in the general catalog of the Goldscheiders, see photo just below, to which almost a full page is dedicated due to the importance and the numerous variations of the sculpture. Dated in 1933, perfect art deco style, nice patina on the piece. Below we have put the photo of some auction results achieved by the artist's sculptures, and always consider that the auction house rights must be added to the price of the hammer, at least 25%, and that the ceramics of the '900 are often penalized in auctions. The mask, if desired, can also be mounted on a wooden base as if it were a bustier, if you do not want to attach it to the wall. Beautiful piece of great value and perfect in all respects.
