    Description
    Offered for your consideration is an antique Ridley's Candies (empty) candy or chocolate box. Ridley's Candies was established in 1806, on the corner of Hudson and Chamber Streets, in New York City. From, I would guess, the 1910-20s era, this 1 pound (capacity) box features a beautiful young woman dressed in attire depicting the era. The box even includes the original interior tissue flaps used to help protect the yummy contents. In good to very good 'as found' condition, all of the graphics are legible. Overall, the box does show handling, but there are no markings, which would interfere with the graphics, but there is a tear to the upper front corner of the right side of the box (see pic #10). The inside of the box is exceptionally clean. There is also some discoloration to the box, due to age. It measures 7 5/8" x 3 5/8" x 1 5/8" tall. It has a weight of about 2 ounces. A very nice addition for the candy advertising collection. Auctions can be combined to save on shipping. Thank you for viewing my listing.
