This a portrait vase to add to your special collection! A fabulous portrait vase. It is of Duchess Louise of Mecklenburg-Strelitz (Luise Auguste Wilhelmine Amalie; 10 March 1776 – 19 July 1810). White hard paste porcelain with brown background. Allover design of roses, acanthus, and scrolls. The portrait is gorgeous! The portrait appears to be applied in one piece with some hand painted white beading to the draping of her gown and robe. Done in the Royal Vienna style .This vase is marked in green Z S & Co over the word 'Bavaria'. This is the earliest mark of Zeh Scherzer and Company. This mark was used from 1880 - 1918. 11" tall in great condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing
